Cancer of society

Societies can be seen as large organisms. When you take a look only at the ideological level and evolution of ideologies, isms, dogmas and theories, it compares pretty well with development of human being. Just like a child grows up, tries to adopt the teachings of history, trying to fit it all into her mind and developing a moral point of view to it all. The same way the societies evolve.  When looking back the development of humankind; the rise and fall of each political system, societies and their structures has left their legacy. No civilization has been in vain, the latter generations has always adopted the teachings of history to be the part or basis of their systems.

As if constantly striving to a common goal, to learn, to evolve and to be something bigger and better. Day after day.

At the cell-level the development seems quite the same. Whole biological organism is constantly working towards maintaining the current stage and to be a little better and a little stronger each day. Sometimes, the cells go mad. Uncontrollable growth, destroying of healthy tissue and eventually killing the organism, sounds like something very familiar. The same way individuals in the societies sometimes lose their temper, go mad, build uncontrollable and unstable structures and start to kill the other individuals. And it's always degenerative. Every war has left us only scars to be healed, a money to be spent on rebuilding and many years of lost development. Sometimes killing the whole society.

And despite the fact that who won the war, the ideologies best for development eventually win - sometimes it just takes generations - or in case of extinction, just years.
